The newborn or neonatal intensive care unit (also called NICU) is a nursery in a hospital that provides around-the-clock care to sick or premature babies. It has health care providers who have special training to give your baby the best possible care. NICU nurses are on the front lines of your babies’ medical treatments, giving medications and carefully monitoring your baby’s nutrition and development.
In honor of Neonatal Nurses Week (September 9th – 15th), we’re putting together a special card on behalf of March of Dimes supporters to thank NICU nurses for the extraordinary care they provide. Add your name to a special note of thanks we’ll be delivering in appreciation for NICU nurses!
Being in the NICU can feel overwhelming but you are not alone. We have digital resources that can connect you with other families with similar experiences to offer support and tools to help you navigate your journey.
